Our Staff
David Palmer established EDT Fast Trak in 1994 and is the MD and Director of Training, responsible for all courses and is a qualified Motorcycle instructor, car, lorry and bus trainer, Transport Manager CPC holder, Driver CPC holder, and teaches trainers and instructors up to and including Diploma level. He wrote the training manual for the Republic of Ireland Motorcycle Examiners and for Pupils which was presented at Ministerial Level and accepted in its entirety by the R of I Government.
As a former Senior Police officer he has a wealth of experience in traffic and transport matters and has given evidence which has been accepted at Magistrates, Crown and Coroner’s Courts. He has been commended for driving skills by the High Court in a life saving situation following a road accident where the victim had stopped breathing. He was also highly commended as a nineteen year old police officer for entering a burning house and rescuing two young children. He was further commended by his Chief Officer and by the Crown Court for, with another officer both of whom were unarmed, disarming a gunman who had fired a number of shots at the officers and other people.
He is the training advisor to a multi national transport company based in Poland.
He was made a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Logistics in Transport, a very rare accolade awarded to less than 1% of the CILT members.
He has held a pilot’s licence for twenty years, has a powerboat licence and has visited the USA Top Gun academy flying school on five occasions most recently as guest of the camp commandant.
In 2023, he was invited to the Senate of the State of Nevada where he was awarded a Citation for two specific Police commendations and for continued services to Road Safety and to charities world wide.
Serena Evans was offered a Directorship of the company after about ten years service and has now been the mainstay and guiding light for over twenty years. In effect Serena runs the Company.
Our trainers and office staff are all motivated, experienced people, some of whom voluntarily gave up well established jobs to work with us.
